Cannim’s new THC Calculator

Free support tool for doctors prescribing medical cannabis

IMPORTANT: This tool has been created for Australian doctors based on local regulations

New guidelines from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) place daily limits on the amount of medical cannabis that can be prescribed to a patient. The limits are based on recommendations from the National Institute of Integrative Medicine (NIIM) and regulate the daily amount of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) that is appropriate for a patient –

1. 500mg of THC per day for inhalation products (flower, cartridges, hash etc.)
2. 40mg of THC per day for oral products (oral liquid, pastilles, wafers etc.)

The Cannim THC Calculator helps doctors discuss options with patients, including –

  • THC strength of medicines
  • Extending interval periods between dispensing prescription repeats
  • Number of medicines prescribed

The Cannim THC Calculator helps doctors provide the best patient outcomes within these new guidelines.
Register for the Cannim THC Calculator below and it will be emailed to your specified address.
